Its typical that The Guardian would write this. In truth Amelia was right that tubesites had all but changed the industry while new regulations like ATVOD (the Authority For Television On Demand) tried to get sites signed up to be regulated like the BBFC did with DVD was unworkable. This did impact the industry as did the governments proposal to ban specific sex acts like facesitting. Ultimately both were overturned when thegovernment tried to impose Age Verification which shut its doors in December 2018
